IndiGo and Jet Airways Introduce EMI Options for Travelers
The two airlines have teamed up with Citibank, HDFC and ICICI bank to offer their passengers the option to pay for their airfares in two installments. EFI or equated monthly installments is something that the mobile phone companies have used successfully to obtain more customers to purchase mobile phones.
While the program does offer flyers the ability to spread their airline ticket purchase over a two month period, it does not come without a cost. The costs of the tickets if a customer uses the EMI option will run them 15% more for their tickets.
American Airlines CitiCards Credit Card Gets You Flying
The American Airlines Fly Now Payment Plan lets you purchase your airline tickets and pay a low minimum monthly payment without any interest charges for six months. In order not get charged any interest, you need to pay your minimum balance on time each month and pay off your entire balance in full within the 6 month period.
In order to be eligible for the program, you airline tickets or travel purchases must be greater than $150. Additionally, you must either have an AmericanAirlines Credit Card or apply for one. SriLankan Airlines Easy Pay Program
